As a city in southwestern Slovenia, Koper is Slovenia's only commercial port. The center of the old city is Tito Square (Titov trg), a square with Venetian-influenced landmarks such as the Praetorian Palace and a Gothic-style loggia, while nearby Da Ponte Fountain is a replica of Venice's famed Rialto Bridge. You can climb the bell tower of Campanile for for great views of the city.

Located near the Slovenian border with Austria, on the Drava River. Maribor is wonderfully nestled in the embrace of the green Pohorje Mountains on one side and the picturesque wine-growing hills on the other. It was known for the rich wine culture (the oldest vine in the world, which dates back for more than 450 years), the old town`s cultural offer (theatre, traditional events, galleries and museums), and the recreational activities (hiking, cycling and skiing).

Celje is small city perched on the banks of the Savinja River. The downtown part of Celje is very old, and very beautiful. There are two churches, as well as an "Old Celje" section. The biggest attraction in the city is the enormous castle sits on top of a hill. Builted in the 1400's, one building that's a part of the castle is a tower. The only way to get to the top of the tower is by climbing several steps located inside it, but the climb is worth it. Once on top, the view of Celje is absolutely spectacular and breathtaking.

Postojna is a town in the Coast and Karst region of Slovenia, known for its extensive cave system. Postojna caves contain 20 km of underground galleries, chambers and corridors, up to 50 meters high in places. Located in the village of Predjama 9 km north of Postojna is a Renaissance castle "Predjama Castle". That is home to the legendary medieval knight of Erazem Predjamski who was besieged in this castle for several months for tax evasion.

Located in southwestern Slovenia on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Piran is one of the three major towns of Slovenian Istria. The town has much medieval architecture, with narrow streets and compact houses. Tartinijev trg is the main square, with a statue of the famous violinist Giuseppe Tartini. The oldest building in the city, "Venetian House" is the red building on the square, is a fantastic example of gothic Venetian architecture. And the Church of St. George, the inside is quite beautiful, you can view of the city and harbour from the belltower.

Established in 1981, Triglav National Park (TNP) is the only national park in Slovenia. It covers nearly all of the Slovenian section of the Julian Alps, with highlights in the region including the towering peak of Mount Triglav itself as well as the calm waters of Lake Bohinj, the largest permanent natural lake in Slovenia. Rafting on the Soca River is a popular activity, or you can attempt to hike Mount Triglav. In addition, you can climb up a series of zig-zagging steps to the top of the gorge to see the rushing waters of the Savica Waterfall.

Ljubljana is the capital and largest city of Slovenia.A major attraction in the city is Tromostovje, also known as the Triple Bridge, where three picturesque bridges span the river right next to one another, divides the city's old town from its commercial hub. Ljubljana has many museums, including the National Museum of Slovenia, displaying historic exhibitions, and the Museum of Modern Art, home to 20th-century Slovene paintings and sculptures.

One of the best places to visit in Slovenia, Lake Bled is a lake in the Julian Alps of the Upper Carniolan region of northwestern Slovenia. It is situated in a picturesque environment, surrounded by mountains and forests. What makes the destination so appealing is the small island in the middle of the lake (Bled Island), which is home to a 17th century church. You can walk around or cycle around the border of the lake which is great. Must visit the Bled castle gives you views of the entire lake and surrounding nature.
