Fraser Island, off Australia’s eastern Queensland coast, is the world's largest sand island, stretching over 122km. Fraser island is a place of exceptional beauty, with its long uninterrupted white beaches flanked by strikingly coloured sand cliffs, and over 100 freshwater lakes. Ancient rainforests grow in sand along the banks of fast-flowing, crystal-clear creeks. Fraser Island is the only place in the world where tall rainforests are found growing on sand dunes at elevations of over 200 metres. Fraser Island is home to rare species, vulnerable or endangered species include dugongs, turtles, Illidge’s ant-blue butterflies and eastern curlews.

It is the name given to the sandstone area of the Bungle Bungle Range by the Kija Aboriginal people, and the national park is also known as the Bungles National Park. The Great Ocean Road is an Australian National Heritage listed 243 kilometres (151 mi) stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of Australia between the Victorian cities of Torquay and Allansford, the road is the world's largest war memorial. One of the most scenic parts of the road is the stretch between Port Campbell and Peterborough. This is the section contained by Port Campbell National Park and has the major rock formations, it is an important tourist attraction in the region.

Cable Beach is a 22 km (14 mi) stretch of beach on the eastern Indian Ocean about 6 km (3.7 mi) west of Broome, Western Australia. Cable Beach is a beautiful expanse of golden sand. The sunsets on Cable Beach are magnificent and can be enjoyed on the beach or from one of the restaurants on the esplanade. Camel rides are offered around sunrise and sunset hours on the northern parts of the beach just past a rocky section. It is a well developed tourist destination, popular with Australians, in the dry season (from May to September).
