Chile is a long, narrow country along the southern half of the west coast of South America, between the Andes and the Pacific Ocean. Chile has over 5,000km (3,100 miles) of coast on the South Pacific Ocean. Among the top tourist attractions in Chile are the world’s driest desert, spectacular scenery of glaciers and fjords, ancient volcanoes. About cultural, Chile offers many fine museums and art galleries, and stunning Easter Island with its famous stone figures.
10. Cerro San Cristobal
Cerro San Cristóbal is a hill in northern Santiago, Chile. At the peak, there is a church and a 22 meter (72 feet) statue of the Virgin Mary. At the foothills of Cerro San Cristóbal are the Chilean National Zoo and a Japanese-style garden, and up there are also two municipal pools, Tupahue and Antilén. Cerro San Cristóbal houses the Parque Metropolitano, Santiago’s largest public park.
9. Los Pingüinos Natural Monument
Los Pingüinos Natural Monument is located 35 km (22 mi) northeast of Punta Arenas, Chile. The largest penguin colonies of south Chile are on this island, is home to more than 120,000 Magellanic penguins. Each summer, thousands of tourists travel to the monument to see the penguins and other wildlife. There is also one of the most popular is Los Pingüinos Natural Monument, located on the small Magdalena Island.
8. Valparaíso
Located on the Pacific coast of Central Chile. The city is widely known for its a rich architectural and cultural legacy, brightly coloured houses, and beautiful seaside views. Built upon dozens of steep hillsides overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Valparaíso boasts a labyrinth of streets and cobblestone alleyways. It is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
7. Chiloe Churches
The Churches of Chiloé in Chile's Chiloé Archipelago are a unique architectural phenomenon in the Americas, and one of the most prominent styles of Chilota architecture. Built in the 18th and 19th centuries, the churches of Chiloé are made entirely in native timber with extensive use of wood shingles. The churches represent the fusion of European Jesuit culture and local native peoples' skill and traditions: an excellent example of mestizo culture. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
6. San Rafael Glacier

Located within the Laguna San Rafael National Park, the San Rafael Glacier is one of the major outlet glaciers of the Northern Patagonian Ice Field in southern Chile. The glacier is accessible only by boat or plane. The journey by boat is a spectacle in itself, passing through the narrow channels of the isolated Aisén region. The icebergs popping up from ice falling into lagoon and from ice breaking off underwater is such a weird thing to see, it all seems to happen in slow motion in front of your eyes.
5. El Valle de la Luna
El Valle de la Luna (Valley of the Moon) is located in the Atacama desert. It has various stone and sand formations which have been carved by flood and wind, is the result over centuries, looking somewhat similar to the surface of the moon. There are also a great variety of caverns, and dry lakes where the composition of salt makes a white covering layer of the area, appear like man-made sculptures. Valle de la Luna is a part of the Reserva Nacional los Flamencos and was declared a Nature Sanctuary in 1982 for its great natural beauty and strange lunar landscape.
4. Pucón
Pucón is a town in central Chile's Lake District, lying on Lake Villarrica overlooked by the snow-capped Villarrica volcano. Along with its relatively stable climate, especially in summer, make it a popular destination for visitors. Pucón offers a variety of sports and recreational activities for tourists, including water skiing, snow skiing, white water rafting and kayaking, horse back riding, natural hot springs, zip line rides, skydiving and climbing the Villarrica volcano.
3. Lauca National Park
Lauca National Park is located in Chile's far north, in the Andean range. The most spectacular feature in Lauca is the beautiful Lago Chungará, one of the world’s highest lakes (4520m). There a serveral volcanos inside the park and most of them are higher than 6000 meters. The highest and most spectecular one is Volcán Parinacota (6342m). In addition, Lauca National Park have a group of very nice lagoons (Laguana de Cotacotani) and the small village of Parinacota with it's nice old church. It is one of the popular tourist attractions in Chile.
2. Torres del Paine National Park
Torres del Paine is a national park in the Extreme South region of Patagonian Chile. Known for its soaring mountains, electric-blue icebergs that cleave from glaciers and golden pampas (lowlands) that shelter rare wildlife such as llama-like guanacos. The centerpiece of the park are the three Towers of Paine, three immense rock towers give the park its name. Other attractions include the Cuernos del Paine are some of its most iconic sites.
1. Easter Island
Easter Island is one of the most isolated islands on Earth. Officially a territory of Chile, it lies far off in the Pacific Ocean, roughly halfway to Tahiti. It’s famed for its archaeological sites, including some 890 monumental statues, called moai, created by the early Rapanui people centuries ago. Which reflect the history of the dramatic rise and fall of the most isolated Polynesian culture. In addition, Easter Island also offers some great diving and surfing as well as two volcanic craters and several sandy beaches. Not surprisingly, it is one of the top tourist attraction in Chile.
